Kathryn Lapierre is a writer, artist, photographer and mom to three boys who are basically noise covered in dirt. She was born in Massachusetts, a train ride away from Boston, and moved to New Hampshire to work and write for Yankee Magazine and has been a Granite Stater ever since. Although life has brought her through six continents, she’s always called New England home.
She grew up reading and writing, drawing and playing outside. Admittedly, there was television, too. The reading and writing, among the other experiences, have stuck… She hopes you read, and enjoy, what she writes.
On paper, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art with a concentration in photography from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She received my Master of Arts in Liberal Studies in Creative Writing from Dartmouth College. She’s also completed studies in the Creative Writing Summer Programme at the University of Oxford.
She is currently seeking literary representation for her current manuscript, Anya on the Line, while plugging away at a two new works in progress and spending way too much time on Twitter (find her at @KatyLapierre!) She’s an active member of “The Llama Squad” online writing group. Currently, she works as a writer/editor in the communications field, which means she can only state the facts—a predicament for a writer with an overactive imagination.
Sadly, she does not have magical abilities, but if she did she would use them for good… okay, and a little bit of mischief.
